Hand-pressed and naturally preserved. This particular work of art features a petite composition of magenta and rich neutral toned specimens, set against softly patinated paper in a warm, timeworn tone. The delicate specimens take on the quiet character of an heirloom in a gold frame. 

Explore the underwater botanical world of seaweed. Hand collected from tidal pools, Saltwater Studio Newport presses the specimens into elegant compositions bringing to life the natural beauty of the ocean. Each is not only a one of kind work or art, but also a snap shot in time from our ocean’s ecosystem, preserving a part of history for others to enjoy many years from now.

Once each composition has been designed and preserved by Saltwater Studio Newport, Thyme + Stain styles the final look using UV protectant glass and thoughtful framing/matting choices.
